Merry Christmas Holidays from SAIFood

This will be the last blog of 2015. Next week, we will re-post the top three blogs from 2015. At this time, I would like to thank some people that have made all this possible.

First off, there is you, the readers. Thank you for signing up for this weekly blog or following us on Twitter or other social media venues. There are now nearly 400 people following SAIFood. Given that we launched the blog in the first week of February with about 20 people signed up to receive it, I view this as a very successful year. I hope that you have found the topics of interest and even occasionally informative.

It has been an enjoyable challenge to find new topics and information to present each week. The first couple of months were a real challenge as it was taking many hours to get the blogs written, revised and ready to be posted. We learned along the way, so thank you for your patience.

I would also like to thank those people that wrote guest blogs this year. Your contributions were very welcomed and thank you kindly for your contribution.

Most importantly, I would like to thank Savannah Gleim, the woman who makes all this possible. My job is quite easy each week as I simply have to write the first draft of the blogs. It is Savannah who adds all the graphics and visuals, making them look very professional. Without her willingness, expertise and dedication, this would simply be the ramblings of a middle-aged academic. Nobody wants to read that. So, thank you very, very much Savannah. You have made SAIFood far more than I ever imagined it could be.

In closing, I’d like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2016. I look forward to catching up with you in January.
